Well, ain’t this precious. Apparently the verification Ben Barnes’ is using to back his claims are forgeries. Go ahead and look if you want. I can list all the obvious problems with this memo, but that would make a really long post and I don’t feel like doing that right now. But, take my word, it’s obviously forged. It’s a cheap job too.
Usually this wouldn’t be that big of a deal. However, thanks to Dan Rather, who refused to see the obvious conflict of interest Ben Barnes presented in the first place, Ben Barnes is listed on John Kerry’s web page. He’s not buried way down the list, he’s #3. Rather couldn’t figure this out? OK, so anyway, Barnes is writing a book, donating heavily to Kerry, is on Kerry’s fundraiser list, and all of a sudden, gets ahold of personal memos a dead person wrote 31 years ago that features super-script, no letterhead, and monotype print ( monotype and superscript did not even exist in 1972 ). Now, the average person might not catch that, but Dan Rather has been in press since way before 1972. Did Rather do even the most rudimentary research on his story? I mean, wouldn you have maybe contacted Killian’s wife, family, co-workers, or friends? Although Rather chose not to, Fox did, and all of them doubt Killian wrote the memo.
Two bottom lines here. #1, Kerry looks bad again. #2, Dan Rather looks even worse again.
Summary, Kerry knows #1 is true, Rather still doesn’t know #2 is.
