Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va. Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) made a brief stop at the airport as he concluded his two-day bus tour to locations in West Virginia and Ohio. I rarely quote a headline verbatim, but this one’s got me particularly good. I had a post here trashing the guy on the left for being an asshole to the little girl. However, after further examination and insight, I’m still trashing the guy on the left. However, I’m adding the guy on the right as well. They look too much alike for my comfort. I think this one’s staged and the reporter did about as poor a job researching his story as you can, so I’m adding the reporter to the list as well.
