Michael Moore and the Karpman Triangle

My friend Michael Read from The Motley Fool made this most profound observation:

Michael Moore recently made this comment quoting Mel Giles::

First, you must admit you are a victim. Then, you must declare the state of affairs unacceptable. Next, you must promise to protect yourself and everyone around you that is being victimized. You don’t do this by responding to their demands, or becoming more like them, or engaging in logical conversation, or trying to persuade them that you are right. You also don’t do this by going catatonic and resigned, by closing up your ears and eyes and covering your head and submitting to the blows, figuring its over faster and hurts less if you don’t resist and fight back.

Although quoting Mel Giles, he is using her quote to symbolize his feelings of what is occurring within the Democrat Party.  To which Michael Read makes this observation:

More a player of the Karpman Triangle: Victim. Persecutor, Rescuer. Moore says, ‘Be the Victim for the NeoCon Republicans spreading fear are the Persecutors while I and certain others like me are your Rescuers.’

Does promoting victimization while professing to aid victims through rescuing stimulate sales? Boy, does it ever. Helping to boost the paranoia is a sales method used for years and any means to explain why a person is a victim gives a bonus.

You are a victim and here’s how you are made one: you are lied to by powerful people who have their own agenda that isn’t yours and will be ever so since you are kept from the inner circles where all the decisions are made. These powerful people can do anything they want to take away your freedom and there’s nothing you can do about it. You’re a victim.

Moore is now taking on the role of rescuer: how to save the DNC from itself and how to save the Democrats from continuing being victims of the Republican persecutor. Makes for a nice, tight drama which Moore will play until he chooses to be a Victim (I did not succeed because of powerful interests in Hollywood who blocked my movie from winning an Oscar) later next year. Watch for it.

There is only one way to beat the Karpman Triangle and that’s not to play it. As soon as the Democrats stop believing they are victims seeking a rescuer from persecution the sooner they’ll be that party of influence they once were.

Absolutely dead on, MichaelR.  This is exactly what I’ve been harping about for a year.  There are very concrete events occurring that are dictating voting trends, and always will be.  Rather than addressing those very concrete issues, the Democrats have resorted to whining about being victims, proving how they are victims, and seeking counsel about being victims.  In other words, playing the role of victim rather than trying to look inside and figure what the problem is within their own party.  As long as they keep playing the game, they’ll stay in the Triangle, and they won’t solve their problem.

I plan to post more from Michael, this guy is a thinker.  I like thinkers a lot.

This is an intriguing psychological approach to the way that the inner circle or power of the DNC is used to the detriment of valid politcal goals that favor American citizens who are interested in goverment that is of integrity, not of corruption.

The problem within the American citizenry is a simple apathetic approach, rather than participating effectively in the governmental process which must be based upon the freedom of speech and thought. The Democratic elites do not want the citizenry to participate in government, because we the citizens, are not smart enough or educated enough to understand their “progressive” agenda (not openly stated), therefore, integrity, honesty, and most importantly religious values will not be tolerated.

    Thanks for letting me comment.
