With Friends like Teddy…….

Ted Kennedy, in one of his usual upbeat speeches, had a couple of classics:
Regarding whether he thought foreign born nationalists should be allowed to run for President:
"I didn’t know David Ortiz was planning to run," said Kennedy, referring to the Boston Red Sox slugger who is Dominican.
He then looked out at his sister Eunice Shriver, who was in the audience, and said, "Did you hear that, Eunice?"
Shriver’s daughter Maria is married to California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has been talked about as a potential presidential contender but was born in Austria.
To put it a little more directly, Teddy’s nephew in-law wants to run for President. I’m sure Eunice greatly enjoyed those comments. And, I’m quite sure David Ortiz really appreciated being singled out as well.
Trashed a Boston Red Sox, a very popular governor, and his own family. But, it gets even better:
Kennedy also mangled the name of the Democrats’ new star, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, calling him "Osama bin … Osama … Obama."
I have never understood how one man can commit political suicide almost annually and the good people of Massachuetts will just keep voting for him anyway.
Is there truly nobody in Massachusetts worthier than Ted Kennedy? He is your representative. Think about what that means when you vote next time. I don’t care if you guys elect another Democrat, I really really don’t. Hell, elect a Libertarian for all I care. Just elect something besides the trash you’re sending to DC now. Ted’s sad.
