I have not posted anything on this incident so far.  There is a reason why.  There is nothing I can add that would even compare to the post written by Jim Lindgren of Volokh.  You can read it all here.  This is an absolute must-read!

From what I have seen so far, this whole issue boils down to politics.

Did Carl Rove commit any crime? No based on the facts we now know.

Did Carl Rove try to out a CIA undercover operative? NO, her husband, Mr. Wilson, did that on his website well before this became an issue.

Did Carl Rove attempt to discredit Wilson? No, Wilson did that to himself by lying and getting caught in same by the Senate. He simply tried to get Time to drop the story.

Did Carl Rove manipulate the press? No he told the truth under the condition that what he said was not to be repeated or printed. That never even slowed down the Liberal Mainstream media however from running with the story.

Did Carl Rove skillfully get his political agenda across by walking a tightrope without falling to further the White House Agenda and destroy the opposition. Absolutely. That’s why he’s the architect.

    Game, set, match Rove!

No wonder why the Liberals are pressing so deleriously to have him removed from the Republican machine.
