The Plame Time affair

I’m getting really tired of the relentless attention media et al are giving to the Plame affair. During the India Prime Minister’s visit, first question asked by MSM was about the Plame affair. During the Autralian Prime Minister’s visit, first question asked by MSM was about the Plame affair.
Who’s questioning the MSM?
The reason I ask that is because IMO, this whole thing is contrived by the media.
During the recent Supreme Court decision regarding the reporters that "leaked" the story to Novack, MSM banded together to file an amici brief. In their amici brief, the defense they offer for the reporters in part reads as such:
"In this case, there exists ample evidence on the public record to cast serious doubt as to whether a crime has even been committed under the Intelligence Identities Protection Act (the "Act") in the investigation underlying the attempts to secure testimony from Miller and Cooper. If in fact no crime under the Act has been committed, then any need to compel Miller and Cooper to reveal their confidential sources should evaporate."
The media is quite certain in March 2005 that no crime has been committed. They are quite certain that "ample evidence on the public record" casts this doubt.
So tell me, why are members of that group of media still badgering President Bush about a non-event as deemed by their very own peers?
This is paybacks by Time. That’s the only story there is here.
