Yesterday I made the observation:

London really needs to just confiscate all backpacks when people board those trains and buses.  Inconvenient I know, but we are at war.

Within 24 hours we get this:

Commuters on New York subways will be subjected to random searches of backpacks and packages, New York police said on Thursday just hours after the second attack on London’s transit system in two weeks.

Smart, guys. Glad you’re reading my blog.

Next thing you all want to do is:

Police on Friday shot and killed a man believed to be one of the people responsible for attempted bombings in the city just a day earlier.

The man, described by passengers as South Asian, was shot was wearing a thick coat when he ran into the Stockwell subway station in south London Friday.

Following London’s lead, shoot everyone wearing a thick coat in July.

I’m serious.
