Tom Delay’s Indictments

Posted by Moonage on 05 Oct 2005 | Tagged as: Ethics

Within hours of being indicted, Tom Delay basically handed Earle the indictment back in Earle’s lap.  Seems the law that Delay supposedly broke didn’t even exist in 2002.  My guess is that indictment will be dropped pretty quickly.  Not to be discouraged by this apparent oversite, Ronnie Earle whipped out another indictment in about one day.  According to some legal pundits, this indictment included a charge of money laundering.  From what I’ve read, this type of charge hasn’t been used in Texas in a long, long, time.  Now, think about this, for a second.  The man who spent over two years investigating Tom Delay for laundering, and came up with an indictment that any kid would have known wouldn’t stick, didn’t prosecute ANYONE connected with the Enron debacle?

Lemme tell ya folks, Earle is already looking bad here.  And, to look bad compared to Tom Delay is really telling me something.

It is fast becoming DeLay’s turn to counterattack his political enemies.

Unlike Earle, DeLay is not stupid. His laundry list of charges he will bring against various members of the Democratic Party will in fact stick.

Texas Politics is a full contact, no holds barred sport which DeLay is a master at.

Anyone want to take bets on how many Liberals get crucified in both the State of Texas and the Federal level?

Paybacks are a bitch and revenge is a dish best served cold.
