Family attorneys negotiated the surrender of Brian Hooks, 18, and Thomas S. Daugherty, 17.
Negotiated? WTF?
Suspected drug dealers will have their doors kicked in with by armed SWAT teams. These murdering ultra-violent thugs negotiated their surrender? I mean, how would that negotiation have gone? Wavy lines obliterate the screen…..
- Police: Ms. Hooks, this is the police. We need to arrest your boy for murdering a homeless man and assaulting a few others.
- Ms. Hooks: You can’t do that, you’ll need to speak to our family attorney. He’s our lawyer for dealing with family members being charged with murder and assaulting homeless people. Here’s his number…….
- Police: Mr. Lawyer, we need to arrest the Hooks boy for murder and assaulting numerous homeless people.
- Hooks Lawyer: Why do you think it was the Hooks boy that did it?
- Police: It’s on film.
- Hooks Lawyer: He’s at home. Go get him.
Wavy lines return the screen……
Just doesn’t strike me as being much of a negotiation.
I’m not in their shoes or their parents’, but I have to wonder once again how two seemingly normal looking kids can be such monsters. I’m sure the details will start pouring out before long of how their home life was some sort of disaster or their parents didn’t care about them enough. Etc, etc, etc.. blah, blah, blah.
Bottom line is Brian and Thomas ( if guilty ) are monsters. Society, through education and the evening news, told them every day that killing people is BAD. And, thanks to the headlines of Tookie Williams, they should have known the consequences of those BAD actions. For them to ignore all that and do what they did, they just need killin in the worst way.
