Iran attacks Iraq, CNN could care less

Posted by Moonage on 17 Jan 2006 | Tagged as: International Issues, Iran, The Media

Well, I saw a blurb about a navy conflict between Iran and Iraq.  I was going to make some leaps of faith about it possibly giving the UN impetus to deal with Iran.  However, the story seems to pretty much have vanished without any media thought.  Maybe this is why:

CNN was allowed to "resume its activities" in Iran Tuesday, the country’s official news agency reported, after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asked that a ban on CNN journalists be lifted and the network be allowed to continue its work there.

So, I guess that impetus is not something to concern myself with.  It is much more important to CNN that they be allowed to do business in Iran than it is to report the news apparently.
