Shoot Now, Tell Later ( aka a media temper tantrum )
Posted by Moonage on 13 Feb 2006 | Tagged as: The Media
I just got back from lunch and listened to the Scott McClellan press meeting discussing Dick Cheney shooting Harry Whittington.
Now, they weren’t too terribly concerned whether Whittington was OK or not. They were incensed, no, that’s not even a strong enough word, foaming at the mouth MAD, MAD I tell you, that Cheney had the audacity to not be terribly concerned about calling major media when it happened to inform them of what was going on. Katherine Armstrong had the audacity to call a minor market paper INSTEAD of NBC. Because of this apparent lack of regard Cheney has for NBC ( well, DUH! ), they were once again tossing around the "impeachment" card at the press meeting. ( I kid you not. )
Now, the media is calling it’s own behavior a "feeding frenzy". I’m calling it what it truly is, a temper tantrum.
- Michelle Malkin now has the video.
- Exposetheleft has the video as well.
- Technorati media, Dick Cheney
