A House divided?

Here’s the headline:

War resolution divides House

The Senate vote was 93-6.  Somehow I think that "divides" is not the proper word here.  Something like, "Senate overwhelmingly rejects timeline" would be a LOT more accurate.  But, that’s apparently.
