McKinney going down?

A new poll by InsiderAdvantage shows Johnson leading McKinney 46 percent to 21 percent, with one-third of voters undecided. The survey recorded the responses of 480 likely voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percentage points.

Oh, please, don’t tease me like that!  Meanwhile, Andrew Young, former mayor of Atlanta, ahs endorsed McKinney for this very logcal reason:

"Congress needs controversy," Young said in his endorsement, a recording of which was played at the news conference. "The last thing we need in a democracy is people who don’t think for themselves. … I don’t always agree with Cynthia McKinney, but I always agree with her right to express her opinions because that creates a dialogue that makes democracy work."

OK, there ya go Atlanta natives.  The very good reason to vote Cynthia.  I’m not sure what it is he’s referring to, but there it is.  I’m not sure how much of an impact Young has in Atlanta any more, he doesn’t even live there.

Cynthia’s justification for why she should continue to be allowed to concerning herself more with bitchslapping cops and getting nothing for Atlanta is:

She cast herself as the "true Democrat" in the race and said Republicans are trying to influence the outcome by crossing over and voting for Johnson.

Yeah, get that, since Johnson’s as black as she is, he’s not Democrat enough.

Clue here Cynthia, it’s not just Republicans that think you’re a disgusting person.  Last time you lost, it was the J-E-W-S.  This time, it will be the not-Democrat-enoughs.  You can’t keep winning by excluding large blocks of people you don’t like.  It’s that simple.  You’re there to represent the people of your District, not just the ones you like.

I’d love nothing more to see than the exit polls come August 8.  Especially within the police force, which I bet, has just as many Democrats as Republicans if not more.  I can pretty much bet how the J-E-W-S are gonna vote.

I don’t trust polls very much at all. However, polls with wide margins are usually a good indicator of what’s going to happen. However, the size of this one, 480 people, seems to be a good effort. We’ll see how accurate it is in a couple of weeks.

I thought they were there to think about the people that elected them.

    Excellent observation Skul.

You thought right, a lot of politicians forget that point. All they have to do is occasionally visit dictionary.com:

    represenative:
    1. One that serves as an example or type for others of the same classification.
    2. One that serves as a delegate or agent for another.
