Is Mark Foley guilty of anything?

Posted by Moonage on 04 Oct 2006 | Tagged as: Political Correctness

A lot is being made of disgraced former Congressman Mark Foley.  Sure. I’ve even jumped on his case, makign him my idiot of the day a few days ago.  However, as stupid and perverse as his actions were, and continue to be, no charges have been made yet.  In fact, it’s debatable whether any will be.  I’ve been wating for a logical discussion on Mark Foley purely in a legal context.  And now, I’ve got it.  Volokh Conspiracy, as usual, has a MOST EXCELLENT discussion going on the legalities of Mark Foley.  I am going to guess Foley’s in a world of hurt.

And quite frankly, a lot of the laws people assume they know, they don’t.

How much does your work know about what you are doing on the Internet? I bet you really dont know. Being a network administrator for a local company, Ive been asked on more than one occasion to keep an eye on certain employees Internet usage.
