Support the border agent families

The families of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campean are in need of financial and emotional support due to their incarceration.  I’m still a bit at a loss as to why these guys are even in prison, much less why President Bush has allowed this situation to continue.  Grassfire.org is coordinating a fundraiser for the Ramos and Campeans so that their families need not suffer any more than they already are.  Please help them out by going here and contributing.

I received this via email while I was out of town today:

Imprisoned Border Agent Ignacio Ramos was assaulted and beaten in prison Saturday night following the airing of America’s Most
Wanted, Ramos family members confirmed to Grassfire.org yesterday afternoon.

Agent Ramos told his wife, Monica, that he was kicked multiple times by up to five men with steel-toe boots, shouting profanities
in Spanish and saying “Kill the Border Agent.” The family reported to us that he had extensive injuries, was bleeding from the ear and may not have received medical attention for up to 48 hours.
