Ann Coulter?

Ann Coulter has had a way of saying things that most people wouldn’t for the last ten years or so. For the most part, it’s a good thing most people wouldn’t say those things, they’re just way out of line and uncalled for. Her most recent attack on John Edwards was just plain stupid. However, the point of my thoughts here is how she is prodded up and about by the media. Now, I’m kind of a moderate conservative. Definitely not neo. So, I’ve never had a use for her rhetoric. It also seems to me conservative bloggers in general tend to ignore her moreso than admire her. Someone commented on Volokh that Coulter is more a gadlfy for the left than she is a model for the right. That’s really how I tend to view her. Conservatives aren’t buying her shtick any more, liberals buy it to attack the conservatives.
AndI’m quite sure if Romney read her stuff a lot more, or had any inkling of what she was going to say about Edwards, he wouldn’t have praised her either. And, he wouldn’t have had to eat his words and condemn her the next day. ( Lesson to all candidates, don’t be forced to speaking BEFORE Coulter! )
