I’ve heard plenty of people claim Obama is the anti-Christ. For that matter, I heard plenty of people claim Dubya was as well. However, other than just simply linking to horrible personnas together as one, that’s about as far as it ever got with Dubya outside of a few Photoshops. Obama’s off to a rocking start. The story that got the ball rolling was the 11/5/08 Illinois Pick 3 Lottery. The winning ticket was 6-6-6. Pretty strong signal if you ask me. The mark of the beast coming from Illinois the day the polls closed and all. Well, a Obamaniac assured me that the chances of the Illinois Pick coming up 6-6-6 was pretty high, no story. So, I checked. So far in 2008, there were 585 Pick 3′s. Four of them were 6-6-6. So, what were the chance that the four marks of the Devil from Illinois meant anything at all? Let’s look, shall we?
- The first one occurred on January 16, 2008. On that date, Obama claimed “I am a Christian. I have been sworn in with a Bible.“ I’m not going to parse this a whole lot. Taken literally tho, one is not a Christian because they were sworn in with a Bible. It sounds as tho he’s using religion to gain power. That folks, is a sign of the anti-Christ.
- March 22, 2008: It was made known that Obama would not be attending his chuch for Easter. For those not in the know, Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus. It is the only holdiay service that defines Jesus as the son of God. I can see the Anti-Christ not being able to sit through that.
- October 23, 2008: Obama proclaims himself “righeous“, again. More accurately, “I feel like we’ve got a righteous wind on our backs here.” Being politics, I assume he means the he considers the support of his voters to be righteous. Now, if one examines the Bible closely, which I have not, there are two very distinct differing views of what a “righteous” person would be. Jesus has his definition, and the Pharisees have theirs. However, Jesus begins his definition of “righteous” by describing them generally:
- Though a massive crowd of people continued to follow him, he created a context in which he could address his disciples.
- He went up on a hill and sat down.
- His disciples gathered around him.
- It is particularly important that we understand that he is teaching disciples.
- These are people who have already committed themselves to follow Jesus for the purpose of learning anything he wants to teach them.
- They have already accepted the fact that he is the teacher, and that nothing is more important than learning from him.
- These are people that belong to him, that follow him on a day-by-day basis who are committed to learn anything and everything that he can teach them.
- They are not there to question or challenge; they are there to understand.
- Though a massive crowd of people continued to follow him, he created a context in which he could address his disciples.
- Sounds like an Obama rally to me. Being compelled by a “righteous” force? Better watch that one folks, sure sign of the anti-Christ.
- And finally, as the polls closed on 11/5/08, Obama accepts victory as the most powerful man on Earth. Illinois confirms this with it’s final Pick 3 6-6-6.
If I were a little more religious, I’d be worried. As it is, it makes for one heck of a conspiracy theory.
