When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in a flag and waving a cross.

That quote is making the rounds right now.  According to some it’s from Sinclair Lewis in 1935 and proves that Republicans are fascists today.  People have debated at great length over how accurate it is.

 

People have used this insightful quote to expand their minds.  This guy uses it to justify supporting Wall Street Occupiers.

Just as well.  As the Occupiers never really protested anything real, this quote’s perfect.

Sinclair Lewis never said that.  Ever.
