Sandra Fluke for person of the year?
Time has lost their ever-loving rocker.
Effectively she got her claim to fame because she took a rather mundane stance that all birth control should be covered by the new federal health insurance guidelines whether a person ethically or religiously believed it should be. When Rush Limbaugh took her to task rather clumsily for claiming it cost a college student thousands of dollars for birth control, the Democrats made her their cause celebre during the 2012 Presidential election.
A lot more women have changed the world in a lot more important ways than figuring some way to skirt a $15 a month fee.
I’m fine with women having birth control. Saves the world from a lot of unwanted babies. I’m not fine with Time thinking this woman is worthy of some lofty title. They seem to be searching for headline impact any more. Last year’s “person” was a joke. Why anyone even cares any more is beyond me.
