Waste in Afghanistan

Afghanistan this week plans to ask during President Hamid Karzai’s Washington visit for more U.S. assistance to be channeled directly to government coffers, the country’s top finance official said.

OK, I’ve been patient enough with this.  Afghanistan is a country that attacked us, then provoked us, then crumbled when we reciprocated.  We don’t owe them anything.  The fear of them returning to Sharia leadership is understandable, but under most normal circumstances, not really an over concern.  If we had done our job security wise, their “citizen” would never have been a concern.  I’m done with Afghanistan.  At this point 100% of the money being sent there is waste and needs to stop so we can balance our budget.
