Posted by Moonage on 01 Aug 2007 | Tagged as: Businesses

British Airways has been hit with almost £270 million ($547 million) in fines after reaching settlements with U.S. and UK authorities for price fixing on fuel surcharges.

Something happened in 2005 that I’ve only seen mentioned in ONE media outlet:

For the first time in history, the dow spent an entire year above 10,000.  That never even happened during the Clinton "economic boom".  Where’s the accolades from CNN and all my economic doomsayer buddies?

The Future of the Auto Industry

Posted by Moonage on 20 May 2005 | Tagged as: Businesses, Oil Supply

As the price of oil skyrocketed, the pie in the sky hopes of the environmentalists and the pragmatists such as myself started to appear more realistic of finally seeing society accept the concept of alternatives to relying on petroleum.  Yesterday was another important step in that direction:
In an announcement made at 11 a.m., Kentucky Governor [...]

Posted by Moonage on 17 Nov 2004 | Tagged as: Businesses

Kmart and Sears are merging.  Excellent move on behalf of both companies.  The plan is to develope a mall based competitor to Walmart.  Excellent move.  Only question I have is what will it be called?  I’m guessing Smarts?
