Media and the wrong values

Posted by Moonage on 06 Nov 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, Media, media bias

It’s easy to trash media.  They screw things up all the time.  Just pick a story, any story, and you’ll find something wrong with it.  For instance, today, Foxnews, which claims to represent the conservative peeps of the US, ran this headline:

Flip-Flopper?
McCain/Palin backing ‘View’ co-host Hasselbeck stuns viewers | PHOTOS
The story headline was a little [...]

CNN, all Obama, all the time

Posted by Moonage on 30 Oct 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, Media, The Media, media bias

Some media are having a difficult time reacting to the charges by McCain that they are completely and unashamedly pushing their candidate.  They have discussed it, they have debated, and some to a small degree, have admitted it.  If one has any doubts at all, all they need to is go to CNN’s front page [...]

CNN and that agent of change thing

Posted by Moonage on 29 Aug 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, Media

Immediately after it became known that Sarah Palin would be John McCain’s running mate, CNN ran a poll asking people if they had supported Hillary Clinton if they would now consider McCain/Palin.  Approximately 41% at the last I saw it said yes.  That’s enough to turn this election into a washout for Obama.  So, CNN [...]

Keith Olbermann sees a penis in every monument

Posted by Moonage on 05 Aug 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, Media

Just when I thought it was safe to assume Keith Olbermann was completely nuts, he tops himself.  This is what the pride of the left wing had to say about John McCain’s recent ad featuring two hot young celebs:
KEITH OLBERMANN: What about when it backfires? Because it seems like the celebrity ad continues to echo. [...]

Jamie Gorelick’s BAAAACCCKKKK!

In my opinion, 9/11 was largely the responsibility of Jamie Gorelick.  Jamie Gorelick is pure evil. Period. Her name figures prominently in several domestic disasters. Sure, she didn’t break the levees in New Orleans, but it was the climate of non-communication between agencies that contributed to the problems in a substantial way. So yeah, some [...]

Scumbag “reporting”

Posted by Moonage on 03 Jun 2008 | Tagged as: Media

Bill Clinton had some harsh comments for Todd Purdum.  He then apologized for the harshness of those comments.  He shouldn’t have.  The Vanity Fair hit piece was without substance or verification.  I cite the primary reason I think it’s unmerited on the main blog.  Bottom line, unless someone is willing to cite their references and [...]

Four more years of Bushisms?

Posted by Moonage on 27 May 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, Media

Barack Obama’s campaign has been all about “change“.  However, one thing seems bound not to change if Obama is elected.  Whereas we’ve had to deal with nucular, internets, and global warmings, now we’ll get muddled facts instead of words:

Marking the anniversary of the March 1965 “Bloody Sunday” in Selma, Ala., Obama, speaking at a church, [...]

Are all liberal talk show peeps stupid?

Now, I don’t believe that to be necessarily true, I just can’t find one I think is terribly smart.  Today’s example is Thom Hartmann.  In 2005, he tried convincing people that Jimmy Carter tried to prevent the Bush Energy Disasters - 28 years ago.  Now, the reason he states this is because Jimmy gave a [...]

Covering up Nancy Pelosi’s Culture of Corruption, 4-18-08 edition

Posted by Moonage on 18 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Media

This is getting pretty near amazing to me.  No sooner than I write about the media doing everything they can to cover up Nancy Pelosi’s Democrat culture of corruption, here comes another example:

ARAPAHO, Okla. (AP) — Authorities have charged a western Oklahoma sheriff with coercing and bribing female inmates so he could use them in [...]

Covering up Nancy Pelosi’s culture of corruption, part whatever

Posted by Moonage on 17 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Media

A while back I did a piece quantifying SOME media’s reluctance to out Democrat crooks’ party affiliation.  It was pretty staggeringly obvious.  Something like 3,000+ words and not mentioning any of the crooks were Democrat, two words before they could blurt out the Republican.  Well, those bizarrely obvious figures just keep getting worse.  Here’s today’s [...]
