I saw this before it made the news.  Originally I wasn’t going to comment on it because I was so repulsed by it:

Now, this makes me uncomfortable because I feel like I’m promoting kiddie porn.  However, what this does do for me is eliminate the embarassment last week was for the Texas Attorney General’s office [...]

Cruel and unusual punishment?

Posted by Moonage on 17 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Supporting the Death Penalty

Justice John Paul Stevens, a key vote in upholding the death penalty 30 years ago, now says he believes capital punishment is unconstitutional.

A lot is being made of the recent data that shows about 1 in 100 US citizens are in prison.  People are debating the pros and cons of this as if it’s some kind of issue that the government’s at fault here.  Folks, I’m here to tell ya, the only people at fault are the [...]

I have the Social Security issue all figured out ( again ).  It doesn’t require cutting back benefits or raising taxes.  It’s simple too.
Just expand the death penalty to include crimes that result in abuse or death.  That category would include molesters, drug dealers, and “insane” murderers.  Make it a lot simpler to enforce if [...]

Ronald Davis
Dante Hobson
Zarumin Coleman
Jasper Frazier

The last two are simply charged with assisting in a robbery.  No chance of the death sentence in their cases.  However, they helped the first two kill this person:

Ok, here’s the backdrop:
A man was sentenced to 102 years in prison Friday for using chloroform and a stun gun to knock out and then rape three teenage daughters of his friends, fellow members of a close-knit Taiwanese community.
Chien Tai Wu, 50, who initially dared police to prove he was a serial rapist, pleaded guilty [...]

Three kids on their way to becoming college students in a town with too many losers, were shot execution style a few days ago. There was no fight, they were unarmed, and shot in the back of the head in schoolyard. Today, Jose Carranza turned himself in and admitted to being a part [...]

The battle for Newark, NJ

Posted by Moonage on 07 Aug 2007 | Tagged as: Supporting the Death Penalty

Apparently there’s a war going on. Nevermind Iraq or Afghanistan, this one’s a little closer. Try Newark, NJ. Accordingto Fox, nearly 60 murders so far this year. Also according to the same article, Mayor Cory Booker is taking a lot of heat for the actions of his citizens. That’s probably [...]

Sorting the “radical” religious debate out?

Posted by Moonage on 12 Jul 2007 | Tagged as: Conspiracy Theories, Media, Supporting the Death Penalty

Aaron Hanscom over at Pajamas Media makes an observation regarding Rosie O’Donnell’s comments that radical Christianity is as dangerous as radical Islam. Notably:
Rosie O€™Donnell might do well to remember - before declaring radical Christianity as threatening as radical Islam - that homosexuality is punishable by death under Islamic law.
Now, the problem I have is [...]
