Super Tuesday

It’s finally here.  If you listen to media pundits, Obama’s got this in a landslide.  If you look at the polls, Clinton’s got this in a landslide.  I can’t wait to see how the media/polls difference is explained off again.  ( Stolen election?  Bad exit poll data? )   Bottom line, I think the media LOVES [...]

Huckabee on states’ rights

Posted by Moonage on 18 Jan 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race

I gotta score one for Huckabee today.  On the issue of the Confederate flag in South Carolina:

“You don’t like people from outside the state coming in and telling you what to do with your flag,” Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor, told supporters Thursday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
“In fact, if somebody came to Arkansas and told [...]

Who’s really winning this race?

A lot has been made of Iowa’s results.  Very little has been made of Wyoming’s results.  And, a LOT is being made of New Hampshire’s.  But, depending on which party you’re a member of, there has been either one or two votes trying to decide who the party’s candidate will be next fall.  A lot [...]

55 got 30%
60 got 29%

Things getting confusing in Iowa

As we near the Iowa caucus, the guns are coming out on all sides.  The best battle seems to be brewing between Huckabee and Romney.  Starting a week or two ago, Romney started firing at Huckabee.  Huckabee reacted, but didn’t fire back.  Yesterday Huckabee held a news conference to announce a negative campaign he had [...]

Huckabee screws up, joins all the other candidates

Posted by Moonage on 12 Dec 2007 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race

I read this first thing this morning:
Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, an ordained Southern Baptist minister, asks in an upcoming article, “Don’t Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?”
I have real issues with this for several reasons.
First of all, what does this have to do with being President of the United States of [...]

Huckabee slams the Saudis

Mike Huckabee had this to say in what I think is a response to the gang-rape victim in Saudi Arabia:
Every time we put our credit card in the gas pump, we’re paying so that the Saudis get rich — filthy, obscenely rich, and that money then ends up going to funding madrassas,” schools “that train [...]
