Jamie Gorelick’s BAAAACCCKKKK!

In my opinion, 9/11 was largely the responsibility of Jamie Gorelick.  Jamie Gorelick is pure evil. Period. Her name figures prominently in several domestic disasters. Sure, she didn’t break the levees in New Orleans, but it was the climate of non-communication between agencies that contributed to the problems in a substantial way. So yeah, some [...]

Via See-Dubya at Michelle Malkin’s blog, with an assist from Gasbuddy:

Apparently Nancy is finally starting to feel the heat.  So, she came up with the ultimate solution her feable mind could produce:

July 8, 2008
The Honorable George W. Bush
The President of the United States
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20500 [...]

33 Katrina Victims still unidentified

Posted by Moonage on 12 Oct 2006 | Tagged as: Katrina

The bodies of 65 Hurricane Katrina victims, of which just half have been identified, remain unclaimed more than a year after the storm, the Orleans Parish coroner said Thursday.
In all, more than 1,300 bodies were collected in Louisiana after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita battered the region last year. Of those, 33 remain unidentified as [...]

Speaking of publicly declaring your stupidity…..

Posted by Moonage on 30 Aug 2006 | Tagged as: Conspiracy Theories, Katrina

Fresh on the heels of the right to publicly declare your stupidity for all the world to see, I get this…..

It’s the local government that’s supposed to protect people from harm, not the feds, not Bush. Anyone that’s spent five minutes researching knows that. Did she vote to impeach Nagin or re-elect [...]

Why the people of New Orleans are screwed

Posted by Moonage on 25 Aug 2006 | Tagged as: Katrina, US Regional Politics

Mayor Ray Nagin has been busy this week. First he attacked the very serious issue of rebuilding the World Trade Center. Then he has to address the issue of who sits where on schoolbuses.
What I’ve not seen one peep from Nagin about is this:

On practically the one year anniversary of Katrina, nothing about [...]

What the media missed

Posted by Moonage on 23 May 2006 | Tagged as: Katrina

You just have to read THIS. I mean it.  If you don’t, just skip this post entirely.
It has actually been debated whether or not FEMA actually failed in its response when applying the pure definition of what FEMA actually is and is expected to do.  Now, the entire scenario that led to all the speculation [...]

Finding a director for FEMA?

Posted by Moonage on 03 Apr 2006 | Tagged as: Fed Policy, Government, Katrina, National Politics

FEMA’s looking for a new leader.  The leading candidate apparently is a fellow named David Paulison.  Now, I know practically nothing about David Paulison, but him potentially being named leader of FEMA has some people rather distraught.  However, the reason Paulison’s probably going to get the position beyond other people’s objections is because apparently no [...]

Joe Lieberman on FEMA

Posted by Moonage on 20 Feb 2006 | Tagged as: Katrina, National Politics

"FEMA has become, to many people in America, and particularly the Gulf Coast, a joke, a four-letter word," said Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn., and a member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
He favored keeping the agency within the Homeland Security Department. FEMA was independent before it was folded into Homeland Security [...]

Twisters hit New Orleans

Posted by Moonage on 02 Feb 2006 | Tagged as: Katrina

Two tornadoes early Thursday tore through New Orleans neighborhoods that were hit hard by Hurricane Katrina just five months earlier, collapsing at least one previously damaged house and battering the airport, authorities said.
Roofs were ripped off and utility poles came down, but no serious injuries were reported.
Electricity was knocked out for most of the morning [...]

New Orleans goes Wi-Fi

Posted by Moonage on 29 Nov 2005 | Tagged as: Katrina

Hurricane-ravaged New Orleans will deploy the nation’s first municipally owned wireless Internet system that will be free for all users, part of an effort to jump-start recovery by making living and doing business in the city as attractive as possible.
The system, which Mayor C. Ray Nagin is scheduled to announce at a news conference today, [...]
