Martin Eisenstadt is MSNBC’s Top McCain figure?

Posted by Moonage on 13 Nov 2008 | Tagged as: The Media

This is precious.
Immediately after the election, a few networks ran with the story that McCain campaign workers were claiming that Sarah Palin did not know Africa was a continent, among other ludicrous claims.  Turns out, MSMBC’s source for the claim was one Martin Eisenstadt.
Turns out, Martin Eisenstadt isn’t real.  He’s a fictional character.
Some people were [...]

Nancy Pelosi on bipartisanship

Posted by Moonage on 28 Oct 2008 | Tagged as: Idiot of the day

Realizing that her very public message that Democrats never had anything to do with the finance meltdown regardless of the fact their legislation and policies OBVIOUSLY caused it to the point even Bill Clinton personally accepted some blame, Nancy’s got a new gig:
“Elect us, hold us accountable, and make a judgment and then go from [...]

Sandra Bernhard endorses Obama?

Posted by Moonage on 21 Sep 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, Hollywood X-List

Sandra Bernhard had this to offer when defending her man, Obama:
“Now you got Uncle Women, like Sarah Palin, who jumps on the sh** and points her fingers at other women. Turncoat b****! Don’t you f*****’ reference Old Testament, b****!” Bernhardt said. “You stay with your new Goyish crappy shiksa funky bulls***! Don’t you touch my [...]

NOW endorses a man

Posted by Moonage on 21 Sep 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race

Given it’s opportunity to see a woman advance to the second most powerful position in the world, NOW punted.  She’s not “woman” enough according to them.  In reality, she’s not liberal enough for them.  They didn’t even bother to fact-check their opinions, they had already made up their mind.  Now, most people I’m sure had [...]

Why Libertarians never get anywhere

Posted by Moonage on 18 Sep 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, Ethics

Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr has filed suit that would keep voters from seeing the names Barack Obama and John McCain on their voting machines, saying they failed to follow the Texas law to get their names placed on the ballot. The Libertarians are claiming that both the Texas Democratic and Republican parties missed the deadline to [...]

Sexist Democrats and Feminists

Posted by Moonage on 12 Sep 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, The Media

My friend over at L’Ombre de l’Olivier wrote a very insightful post that merits MSM recognition.  But it won’t happen.  Here’s the meat.  Look at the salaries the three major candidates pay their staff:

Senator
Male Employees
Female Employees
Average Male Salary
Avg Female Salary
Salary Difference (F/M %)

Biden
15
25
$85,144.80
$55,922.33
65.68%

McCain
17
25
$53,259.36
$55,958.67
105.07%

Obama
27
30
$56,298.75
$45,070.09
80.06%

Only one number really merits looking at.  John McCain is the only candidate [...]

Matt Damon endorses Sarah Palin

Posted by Moonage on 11 Sep 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race

Matt Damon had this to say about this year’s election:
“It’s like a really bad Disney movie, “The Hockey Mom.’ Oh, I’m just a hockey mom from Alaska, and she’s president,” said Damon. “She’s facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It’s absurd.”
Of course, Damon’s referring to the [...]

Oprah and Sarah

Posted by Moonage on 09 Sep 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race

Oprah Winfrey has said she won’t allow Sarah Palin on her show until after the election.  A lot of people are crying foul and threatening to boycott her show.  Quite frankly, I think she’s making the best of the situation.  Having Sarah on her show after publicly endorsing Obama is a no-win situation for both. [...]

Biased and unbiased reporting

Posted by Moonage on 04 Sep 2008 | Tagged as: 2008 Presidential Race, The Media

A lot is being made over the Republicans, me included, complaining how biased the media has been.  I could cite evidence all day and night if I felt like it.  I’ll just cite a couple of quickies from my own observations in no particular order:
Sarah Palin has been scrutinized mercilessly, criticized, and editorialized relentlessly over [...]
